Wright Leather Works proudly and exclusively uses Hermann Oak Leather from St. Louis. Our holsters are made from only the finest American steer hides, tanned in an American tannery, and designed and built by hand in Ohio.
We only use full grain leather, the highest quality grade of leather that money can buy. It comes from the top layer of the hide and includes all of the natural grain. It is more expensive for manufacturers to buy and more difficult to work with. Full grain leather is incredibly strong and durable, as the natural grain contains the strongest fibers in the hide. It’s also extremely breathable, resulting in less moisture from prolonged contact.
The natural surface of full grain leather displays unique characteristics, providing a glimpse into its own individual history through it's natural markings and imperfections. As full grain leather ages, each individual piece burnishes developing a coveted patina and unique character that cannot be duplicated. Each piece is truly one-of-a-kind, and as it is used, the leather improves in both look and feel.
